Zed's been spending most of the day staring out the Observation Window. He doesn't need the holographic data or the floor plans anymore. He really didn't need them in the first place. He could have run this entire scenario in his head if he had had to. Laying it out on paper and screen was just a matter of convenience, and a way to double-check that he wasn't making an obvious mistake.

Either way, the time for prep is done. The word's gone out to the volunteers about tonight's briefing, and they have already begun to show up. Zed's found a quiet corner of the bar and a small table, on which sits the cylinder which is now projecting a holographic image of the MiB logo.

He's been staring at that logo. It's never been more compromised than it is right now. By the time this mission is done, it will stand for something again--or be finished for good.

But then comes the sight of the first people arriving, and just like that, all his worries are cast aside.

Re: Briefing V: Team Delta

"I was born," she confirms. "Regularly."

"And, yes, for the latter... through some of the X-folk I've met around here. Mostly Rachel Grey; she's a good friend of mine."

Re: Briefing V: Team Delta

"...Rachel? You know Rachel?"

That's highly unexpected; maybe Goldy's from Jen's Earth? But then again, the X-family has more alternate versions of each other than the Exiles.

Re: Briefing V: Team Delta

"Er... yes?" Goldy replies, a little unsure why that seems odd to Jen.

"I met her shortly after I arrived, and subsequently helped rescue her from Gaunt's enslavement. That was about a year ago. She works Security here these days."

Re: Briefing V: Team Delta

Jen hasn't heard of bar Security yet, but she intuits that's what Goldy means.

"Rachel Grey is employed at Milliways? I wonder what her dad thinks of that. I've just never seen her here, so I'm surprised. I've only met two people from my Earth here. Well, three, if you count my cousin."

She's a little sad to hear that Rachel somehow was put into captivity again; she's familiar enough with the X families to know that Rachel didn't have a happy childhood.

Goldy nods.

"Currently, I only know of two who are here from my Earth and original world. To whit: Rapunzel and Rose Red. Snow White and Bigby Wolf used to reside here, but popular rumor seems to suggest that they have moved on."

It's not apparent quite how pleased she is about that.

Re: Briefing V: Team Delta

"That's the million dollar question," Goldy replies cryptically.

She shrugs dismissively.

"I don't know the real story there. She never spoke of them, and used to get incredibly pissy if anyone ever brought them up."

Re: Briefing V: Team Delta

"Okay. Note to self: don't bring up Sneezy and Grumpy. She did marry the Prince though, right?

...right?"

Some things from childhood are too precious to suffer the scouring winds of reality.

But then again, who needs princes riding to the rescue?

Re: Briefing V: Team Delta

"Yes. As did Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty."

"And all three marriages ended in divorce."

Goldy is pretty heartless when it comes to childhood shattering revelations. She thinks the truth is more important.
