The questions eventually die down. Everyone has what they need. Zed can still see the Door.

It's Time.

Zed leads the group across the Bar and puts a hand on the Door as he turns to look at them. When he gets their collective nod, he drops his hand down to the door knob and waits as they take defensive positions.

Re: Through the Door

"Not as much as I would've liked," Ray says absently. "Once they saw that I knew my essential principles they handed me the Pilantroids' documentation on portal stabilization and ordered the Worms to bring me as much caffeine and lunch as I needed as often as I needed it. I was a little too busy to properly gawp at the place. Hey, I think this one's gone out of alignment- or was it always like this? I don't think the rotator casing's been adjusted in a few hundred cycles, by the look of the galvanic residue here."

"Awww, they wouldn't let you play in their toybox with the big kids, huh?"

Peter stared at the one that Ray was talking about.

"How can you tell? It could be upside down for all we know, and no way to check for sure."

Re: Through the Door

"What do you mean we, white man?" Ray says, peering closely at the join between two of the tubes. "Lord. Zed, does anybody here actually know how to use these, or did this just get dropped off by a tourist? Because if you need a sixfold dimensional resonator up and running by the end of the week, all you need to do is give me a Torx set and a couple of soldering tools."
