"Stick close," Zed mutters, as he leads the way down the hallway.
"No damn cover here at all," he continues. "Asses hanging right out in the open."
You better believe he'll remember this moment at renovation time.

K meanwhile runs out, blaster firing into every nearby cluster of Oil. He pauses by Venkman and grins. "Good seeing you. We just can not keep you gents away from Black Oil."
The lethal spray of Ryan's XT shot thuds heavily into N, shredding him from blaster to waist. The top half of the former Agent falls backwards to splash into the Oil behind it. What is left standing of N surges upward--pure Oil now--and begins throwing tendrils, which reach out for the Captain.
T stumbles as Peter's thrower scores a direct hit with the proton stream. The once Agent grunts in rage, spewing more Oil in front of him, and Peter can see the Oil popping as the protons make it burst apart. All T can do is thrust out with his arm, forcing the still-oncoming wave of Oil to crest as it nears Peter, K, and Bill.
As for Ray, the lightsaber is ripping through the Oil, leaving seared trails of burnt, crisped ooze in its wake. Y is screeching in rage--an awful, alien sound--but is forced to fall back several steps, fearing the neon hum of the saber as Ray advances.

"Can you PLEASE shut up?"
He shouldn't have broken his concentration. A small wave of Oil slithers under his feet, causing him to slip and land on his back.
But he will NOT take any crap from this Oil, no, not again.
The result is like a laser-light show!

But then things got a lot uglier. T was going down for the count but not fast enough. And that Oil was getting closer to them. Peter then did one of the things he did best.
Taunt and be bait for the team.
"Hey slimeball! Yeah, you! I've sneezed out better boogers than you!" He yelled as he took a step forward toward T and the oil, blasting them both. Blocking its access to K and Bill. Hoping his PKE and those shields will be enough protection for the time being as well as the proton fire that was cooking the Oil nicely.

He'd love to drop an incendiary grenade, but there are far too many people in the room to do that. He'll just have to keep using the massively powerful alien firearm.
He's okay with that.

Not that he needs motivation. If it were somehow possible to store caffeine in the human body the way stray LSD gets packed away for future occasions, then a good twenty-seven* years' worth of accumulated unmetabolized caffeine would be dumping into Ray's bloodstream right now along with his natural output of adrenalin. He hasn't got the Force in his corner... just really hyper body chemistry.

He's still got a hold of his gun though and is still firing like mad though, so give you can give him a little credit.

As monitors flicker to life, Bob's voice sounds in her earbud, "Oracle? We got a situation down here!".
"You're on-screen now, Bob. Stand by for an update." She grimaces, this doesn't look good. She turns to Zed again, "Can your internal defense grid stop this thing?"

"Marvin!?? You've got to be shitting me!"
K looks back, still firing his blaster. "Did you say, Marvin?"
OK, now K is worried.
Zed starts punching buttons. "If we can plot his course, see where he's head--ahh, just fucking great."
Of course. Marvin is heading straight for them.

She's only half paying attention as she gets the defense grid up and running. She's hoping that this will do more than just make Marvin angry.

And thank the User for that. Bob didn't want to think about the logistics of that thing getting into Milliways.

While she waits for his answer she opens a channel to everyone. "All units be advised, internal security grid is now active. I've designated the armory, the hangar, and the command bunker as safe zones. Advise me if you plan to leave them."
